The Nashville 1/2, Marathon & 6.15K will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, starting at 7:00 AM and finishing at approximately 1:30 PM. In an effort to minimize the event’s impact on your business or residence, we are taking this opportunity to inform you about road-impact relating to the event supporting the American Cancer Society. Please see the map below for usage route roads and estimated times of impact.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will be conducting a full road closure in Davidson County on I-24 from I-65 to I-40, also known as the downtown east loop.
Crews will conduct a full road closure on I-24 westbound from the I-65 split to the I-40 merge starting Friday, October 25 at 8 p.m. until Monday, October 28 at 5 a.m.
The work is needed to resurface I-24 and repair bridge expansion joints. Traffic will be detoured to the west loop.
Even with detours in place to navigate the closure, motorists should allow additional time when driving through this already heavily traveled area.
Below are suggested alternate streets for accessing various areas. If you need access across any of the route-street, there will be police officers to guide you. Officers at the intersections will do their best to work traffic across roads when there are breaks in the line of walkers / runners. We ask all drivers to proceed with caution.
On-street parking will be TEMPORARILY restricted in the areas listed below on the day of the race. Please plan to park your vehicle in an alternate location during the event. Any vehicles left in No Parking areas, during the dates and times listed above, will be ticketed, and towed at the owner’s expense. Participants will be using downtown public garages for event parking.
