About Run Nash
New Year, New Owner, Same Great Races!
Run Nash is an event production company that focuses on putting the runner first, creating professionally managed experiences for participants of all levels. We are committed to creating a consumer-first experience in each of the unique and memorable events we create.
The company responsible for running events, such as the Annual Nashville 1/2 Marathon®, Marathon, and 5K and the Music City July 4th 5K/10K in the streets of downtown Nashville, has a new owner in 2022.
Run Nash, formerly I Run For The Party and What Do You Run For, is the largest locally owned race organization and has been producing events for over 15 years. The mission continues with the new ownership: our ambition is to create fun events for all levels of runners and walkers that encourage healthy living, involve the whole family, and support local charities.
The new leadership will continue to build Run Nash’s position as Nashville’s largest locally owned race organization and deliver the highest quality experience that focuses on exhaustive preparation and flawless execution so that you, the participant, can focus on your event.
Run Nash will be led by special event veteran Malain McCormick. Her experience spans more than 15 years with a strong background in producing world class sporting events on a national scale. Her leadership style authentically creates community while delivering professionally managed event experiences.
Formerly the Director of Events at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series, the largest running event company in the US, Malain also holds an MSA from Belmont University, is a ‘proud back of the packer’, and is an avid traveler.
At Run Nash we invite all ages to run with us, no matter what your running ability and pace!
See you at the finish line!

A Note From Emmit Martin, Run Nash Founder
“On behalf of me and my team, we would like to say thank you to all the runners/walkers, charity partners, events we have managed, brands we have worked with, and the City of Nashville for the past 17 years of creating running events.
